In 'Virgen del Rocío' University Hospital (HUVR), in Seville, Spain. The Fetal Neurosurgery Programs for Intrauterine Correction of Spina Bifida and Fetal Surgery EXIT ( ExUtero Intrapartum Treatment ) are still active today.
2020 - A baby was born in the 'Virgen del Rocío' University Hospital operated for spina bifida during pregnancy in the midst of a pandemic.

Both obtained by the Instituto Cartuja (Sevilla, Spain), in the first (and until 2013 only) installation of non-invasive surgery technology in Spain using MRgFUS technology. The Group of Interdisciplinary Physics of the ETS Engineering of the University of Seville collaborated in its implementation and operation, assuming Prof. Dr. Emilio Gómez González the scientific direction in the realization of the first interventions in Spain through the MRgFUS technique of treatment of uterine fibroids in gynecological patients (2007-2009) and palliative treatment of pain in patients with bone metastases (2007-2011).
